Join us for the 1st Annual Lassen County Fairgrounds Dutch Oven Showdown. Come hungry & savor the flavor for $15 a Plate & People’s Choice Tastings from 5pm-7pm with awards at 7:30pm.

Entertainment will include music from RUMMY on the Lassen Transfer & Storage Stage from 5pm-8pm.

CALLING ALL COOKS!

On Saturday, September 6, 2025, the Lassen County Fair in Susanville, CA will be hosting
their First Annual Dutch Oven Showdown. This event will be OPEN TO THE PUBLIC and
coincide with the Lassen Gravel Adventure Ride

The cooking area opens at 10 am, cooks meeting and sign-in will start promptly at 1 pm,
with people’s choice judging to commence at 5 pm. This is a 3 pot cook-off; Main Dish,
Bread, and Dessert. Showdown entrants will have a 10’ x 10’ cooking area with 1 table
provided. The public is invited to purchase a tasting wristband for $15 and will be provided
a plate, cutlery and voting tickets to select the winning dishes.

People’s Choice awards will be given for 1st – 3rd place in each category.
