ABOUT US
More than 35,000 patrons attend the Lassen County Fair each year, which is held the third week of July. The fair is the longest-running community event in Lassen County. Not only is the fair a place for fun and great food, it is also home to one of the best displays of our youth. Local 4-H and FFA members work hard all year in preparation for the Jr. livestock shows that take place Wednesday through Saturday of the fair, and end the week with the Jr. livestock auction on Sunday. In addition to the many contests held at the Lassen County Fair, there is also an annual parade sponsored by the Lassen County Chamber of Commerce that is held during the Saturday of fair week. Local businesses and organizations drive down Main Street displaying their floats.
The Lassen County Fair is also responsible for maintaining the fairgrounds year-round for interim events. More than 90,000 people visit the fairgrounds for events such as auto racing, craft fair, children’s fair, gun shows, tool sales, food banks and numerous other community events. The fairgrounds is also host to many private party events.
